Mrs. Esther Abubakar

Esther Abubakar is an experienced professional with a strong background in financial management and health services. She is married and has achieved tremendous success academically and professionally. In 2018, Esther qualified as an Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ghana (ICAG). Prior to this, she obtained her Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) with specializations in Accounting and Finance. Additionally, she acquired a Health Administration & Management course at the Ghana Institute of Management & Public Administration (GIMPA).

In 2008 Esther completed her Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Ghana majoring in Accounting through The Institute of Professional Studies(IPS) Further back still was when she had attained part one qualification from The Chartered Institute of management accountants(CIMA). Finally, before all these achievements was when she earned diploma qualifications from GES after completing secondary school studies at Tamale Secondary School where She sat for GCE level examinations.

She has been working for the Ghana Health Service since 2005, where she currently holds the position of Financial Manager. Prior to this, Esther worked as Controller and Accountant General at the Controller and Accountant General Department from 1989 to 2005.
